Meet Katja

Collaborative care, tailored to your unique needs and lived experience.

Hello there!

My name is Katja (she/her) and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia offering compassionate, client-centred, somatic counselling for teens and adults. Rather than focusing only on thoughts or behaviours, working somatically will help us discover how your experiences are held in the body—creating space for deeper awareness, resilience, and lasting change.

I have a particular interest in women’s mental health and have experience working with clients around issues such as identity, boundaries, burnout, perfectionism, perinatal grief, and the emotional impact of caregiving and societal expectations. My approach is collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs and lived experience.

I am originally from Germany, and immigrated to Canada in 2020. Working as a clinical counsellor has been a goal since my early 20’s, and I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology, as well as my graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. I worked in the field for the past six years, allowing me to gain experience with different populations and client concerns. I believe healing looks different for everyone, and I am here to support you on your unique journey.

When I am not working, I can be found outside, exploring our beautiful planet earth. Whether that is BC or elsewhere on the globe, travelling has always been my passion and I feel grateful for all the experiences and connections I’ve made throughout my life. I love animals, coffee, and expressing myself creatively, and spend a lot of time at the pottery studio.
